{"id":1025121,"date":"2021-12-15T16:30:03","date_gmt":"2021-12-15T22:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.snkrsday.com\/?p=1025121"},"modified":"2021-12-16T16:07:15","modified_gmt":"2021-12-16T22:07:15","slug":"nike-goes-international-and-extends-its-black-community-commitment-to-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.snkrsday.com\/nike-goes-international-and-extends-its-black-community-commitment-to-london\/","title":{"rendered":"Nike Goes International and Extends its Black Community Commitment to London"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><a href=\"\/nike\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nike&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> commitment to give back and uplift the Black community through its $140 million commitment announced back in <a href=\"https:\/\/news.nike.com\/news\/nike-inc-s-black-community-funding-commitment-partners\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">June 2020<\/a> is now going across the pond and the <strong>Black Community Commitment London<\/strong> is the first extension of <strong>Nike&#8217;s Black Community Commitment<\/strong> in North America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>London was selected as it&#8217;s a major global city and shares a rich history and legacy with Nike. 15 grantees were chosen with grants ranging from <meta charset=\"utf-8\"\/>\u00a35,000 to \u00a320,000 were given to London nonprofit organizations that support work related to sport equity, education, mentorship, mental health, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a London team, we are committed to serving our Black communities both internally and externally, which is why it was important for our Nike employees to be involved in this journey from the very beginning,\u201d says Sarah Hannah, VP, Nike London.&nbsp;\u201cI know I speak on behalf of all our London employees&nbsp;when I say that we are proud to be supporting these organizations in driving the necessary work they deliver daily to support our Black communities in London.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s a list of the Inagural Nike Black Community Commitment London grantees.
