Second-year Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball is proving last season wasn’t a fluke and have the Hornets contending for a playoff spot and it’s fitting that the youngest Ball brother is getting his own signature sneaker from PUMA, the PUMA MB.01. Although the launch colorway hasn’t dropped yet, we get an exclusive look at a trio of colorways coming down the pipeline from PUMA Hoops.

The three tonal sneakers are seen in a bright blue, neon green, and white. The bright blue pair features purple accenting to match the aesthetic and colors of the Charlotte Hornets, with the other two colorways featuring black accenting respectively. Mesh makes up the upper for breathability and TPU overlays are utilized in high wear areas for durability. The PUMA Formstrip is seen on the lateral side of the toe with LaMelo’s 1 of 1 motto seen on the tongue tag along with his signature logo. Melo and PUMA co-branding is seen on the heel stripe and LaMelo’s rocket tattoo on his ankle inspires the design stitched on the medial and lateral side. The cushioning setup is still unknown, and a tonal translucent outsole featuring “RARE” on the outsole finishes off the sneakers.

There’s no release information out on the PUMA MB.01, but expect them to drop sometime in 2022 on PUMA.com and at select retailers for $125. Check out the early look photos below, and stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for any updates on a confirmed drop date.
