Candace Parker‘s basketball career has taken her all over the world and she’s now back in Chicago playing for the Sky and having an MVP-like season in doing so. Her resume proceeds itself and it’s long overdue that Parker gets her own collection from the 3 Stripes.

“I’m beyond excited to launch the Candace Parker Collection with my long-time partner, adidas.” said Parker. “This collection represents so many important moments in my career and our hope is that it will reach and inspire the next generation of passionate athletes. It is amazing to see the progress female athletes have made over the last 20 years and this moment is an important step in the expansion of women’s basketball.”

To celebrate not just the collection but her contributions on and off the court, the city of Chicago and Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot has proclaimed September 16th as Candace Parker Day in Chicago. Parker was bestowed this honor during the unveiling of her collection in Chicago.

The Candace Parker x adidas collection features a PE take on the adidas Exhibit A they’re calling the Exhibit (A)ce Low, for Parker’s nickname. Coming in 3 colorways that represent key chapters in Parker’s life including an orange colorway for her late college coach Pat Summit, her daughter Lailaa, and the next generation of culture-shifters.

The sneaker uses a textile mesh upper with TPU overlays in high-wear areas. adidas branding is seen near the ankle collar on the lateral side as well as the 3 Stripes on the medial and Candace’s Ace logo is seen on the tongue. The external heel counter starts on the medial side and wraps around the heel and extends down into the midsole to provide lockdown and to prevent heel slippage. Going down to the cushioning set up, the adidas Exhibit (A)ce Low uses Lightstrike in the midsole, which supplies comfort without sacrificing responsiveness. Lastly, a diamond-patterned outsole finishes off the sneaker.

The Candace Parker x adidas Exhibit (A)ce Low PE is set to drop on September 23rd, exclusively on adidas.com and at Dick’s Sporting Goods, both in-store and online. The collaborative collection also features hoodies, tees, tanks, shorts, and socks all integrating sustainable and recycled materials.

adidas also launched an “Impossible Is Nothing” spot for Candace, featuring the likes of fellow Chicagoan Derrick Rose, Patrick Mahomes, Fernando Tatis, and multi-time Gold medalist Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Check out the editorial photos, as well as photos from the launch party and the 60-second spot.
