In effort to celebrate artists around the world for their unique and authentic visions comes the Vans Old Skool OTW Gallery<\/strong>. For this edition, Vans taps freelance graphic designer, Ruben Martinho<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Based in London, Martinho is known for his lo-fi art that incorporates a mix of digital and analog themes. Inspired by 90\u2019s rave posters and sci-fi alike, Martinho\u2019s art feels like the future frozen in time. The way he captures elements from decades both new and old, makes his work a multi-dimensional presentation of graphic design. His signature purple and red color scheme can be seen here on the Vans Old Skool<\/strong>, with black suede as the sneaker\u2019s base. The lateral side features a split checkered strobe pattern, while the medial side has a print of an eyeball with a graphic gaze. A purple top stripe wraps around the sneaker and matches the two-tone design of the midsole, which is split between a purple stripe and red polka dots.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
