This retro Jordan 4 was something new for the Air Jordan line. The shoe was officially known as the Air Jordan 4+. The shoe had the same silhouette and sole as the other retro Jordan 4’s, but with a few cosmetic changes. First off, the plastic heel tab and “wings” were replaced with leather. Next, the netting on the sides and tongue were removed being replaced with a few air holes in the leather. Lastly, and most offensive to enthusiasts, the large Nike Air logo on the back was replaced with a Jumpman. The shoes did not sell nearly as well as the true Jordan 4 retros, but are next to impossible to find today in decent shape. Something special about this pair of Air Jordans is that the midsole was painted with a glossy finish.
