Where to Buy The Timberland 6 in. Boot "Dia De Los Muertos"
Timberland is back with an exclusive release that celebrates one of Mexico’s most vibrant traditions. The Timberland 6 in. Boot “Día De Los Muertos” is a bold, symbolic piece that honors the cherished tradition of Día de Muertos, which pays tribute to loved ones who have passed.
The limited-edition design was created by Timberland Associate Designer Dimitri Fonti, drawing from his personal experiences and Mexican heritage.
The boot showcases intricate sugar skulls, flowers, butterflies, and glow-in-the-dark details that elevate the silhouette. Wrapped in rich purple hues, the boot’s upper is crafted from Timberland’s signature waterproof premium nubuck leather. The colorful accents, from the lace loops to the stitching, reflect the lively spirit of the holiday while also paying homage to its deeper cultural significance.
Fonti shared his personal connection to the design, stating, “The inspiration for the Día de Muertos boot came from my experience starting as a footwear design apprentice at Timberland nearly two years ago. When I first started, I was struck by the incredible people here —much like my own family in Mazatlán, Mexico — they are supportive, openhearted, and always encouraging of my ideas. I wanted this boot to exude a sense of community and inclusivity, while also sharing my culture.”
To celebrate the launch, Timberland is hosting a block party in Jackson Heights, Queens, on October 26 from noon to 4 p.m. Attendees can explore the ofrenda shrine and enjoy free activities like face painting and arts and crafts, making it a family-friendly event filled with cultural appreciation. The event will also feature food by Don Munchies, ice cream by Nieves Cortez, screen printing, photos with Timberland’s viral giant boot, music by DJ Hello tones, and a lowrider show.
The Timberland 6 in. Boot “Día De Los Muertos” is available now for $210 via Timberland.com and select retailers.
