“The Forgotten One” // The Air Jordan 9

It may be hyperbole to consider the Air Jordan 9 to be “The Forgotten” silhouette within the Air Jordan lineage, but with the circumstances involved, it’s easy to see how that assertion was derived. For starters, the Air Jordan 9 was the first model to not be sported by Michael Jordan on the hardwood during his Chicago Bulls tenure. Retiring prior to the 1993-94 NBA season to pursue a baseball career, the Air Jordan 9 would arrive in a “cleated” form as Jordan sported this during his stint with the Birmingham Barons.

However, plenty of NBA stars looked to prop up the silhouette in MJ’s absence as we witnessed the likes of Penny Hardaway, Mitch Richmond and BJ Armstrong wear the Air Jordan 9.
