Our very own associate editor George Kiel III will appear on E-Spurs, the San Antonio Spurs' official playoff pre-game live webcast tonight prior to Game 1 of the 2014 NBA Finals. The show, which features game previews, recaps, analysis and sound bites from practice and shoot around, will host Kiel to discuss what we can expect from both teams, sneaker-wise, for Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Viewers will also get an up-close look at a couple of special PEs from various players.

E-Spurs will stream exclusively on nba.com/spurs/espurs and the Official Spurs Mobile App one hour prior to tip off.

Solid point guard play is essential for postseason success. Last night, the Toronto Raptors, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets all received playoff scoring highs at the 1 spot. Kyle Lowry flourished, dropping 36 points at home, going 6-9 downtown and handing out six assists. Tony Parker played to his potential as well, leading the Spurs in scoring with 23 points in a swing game. Off the bench, Jeremy Lin excelled by putting up 21 points.

Lowry did so in PEAK PEs, following a mid-season sabbatical with Jordans and Nikes, while TP also laced up PEAKs. Lin's pair proved the loudest of the bunch, breaking out a red and yellow rendition of the adidas Crazyquick 2 Low.

This NBA season has been filled with memorable Kicks on Court moments. One of the more interesting observations, however, has been the increased presence of Chinese footwear. In the 2013 NBA Finals, there are four players, including superstars Dwyane Wade and Tony Parker, who lace up sneakers from Chinese brands Li-Ning and PEAK. It seems that Chinese brands are beginning to gain traction, and with more and more players lacing up PE versions of sneakers, it is only a matter of time before one of these brands snag at least one more megastar.
