Senior Night marks the last home game for players who have exhausted their eligibility, and many college basketball athletes try to go out with a bang. That was the case this past weekend, when Nevada's two seniors put on their jerseys for the last time on their home floor, as both laced the Nike Kobe 8 "What the Kobe" for the first time this season. Jerry Evans Jr. and Deonte Burton shined in the footwear department and on the scoreboard, as they defeated UNLV to close out the regular season. Although the duo stole the show as a pair, many other notable sneakers also hit the NCAA hardwood around the country. South Carolina shone bright over the weekend, upsetting Kentucky in shimmering Under Armour Anatomix Spawn PEs. Silver and gold versions of Under Armour's premier silhouette sparkled on the court, while the Gamecocks also grabbed attention with their play. Although SC's jeweled PEs and big win made a big impact, there were many other notable sneaker sightings around the country. Houston's Danrad Knowles broke the unreleased Nike KD III "Skills Academy", which were made exclusively for Kevin Durant's summer camp in 2011. Shabazz Napier will likely be an NBA guard in the near future, but he is already acting like one. Over the weekend, UConn's leader swapped sneakers at halftime like many of the pros do on a nightly basis. Lacing the new Nike Kobe 9 "Masterpiece" for the entire first half, Napier switched out at the break into his trusty Air Jordan 11 "Playoffs". Outside of Shabazz's swap, many notable sneakers were worn on college campuses around the nation. UNLV guard Kevin Olekaibe has been a College Kicks On Court regular all season long, but his most recent sneaker showing was the first of its kind. Swapping out his regular Air Jordan XXs, the Runnin' Rebel donned an all-red, light-up Air Jordan 3 "UNLV" Custom in his team's nationally televised game against New Mexico. This one of a kind Air Jordan 3 featured unique detailing in the form of Olekaibe's personal silhouette painted onto the Jumpman symbols on the heels, as well as the LED lights installed in the visible Air pockets. Taking customs on court to new heights, this sighting was the first of its kind on any level.
