Ahead of New York Fashion Week, and his Kith Sport collection debut, brand founder Ronnie Fieg reveals something that may appear on the runway later this week – his first collaborative sneaker release with Nike.
The Nike Air Maestro II, famously helmed as a Scottie Pippen signature, comes in a modified form at the hands of Fieg. Purple adorns the mid-cut silhouette which is drenched in a rich coating of suede. Velcro straps then aid in lockdown support, cascading just above a neoprene inner bootie that extends from the ankle to the forefoot Swoosh. “Kith” marks the shoe’s heel which, in color, is largely considered to be an ode to Scottie Pippen’s time at his alma mater, Central Arkansas. The team wore lush purple uniforms juxtaposed with a light grey contrast.
The Kith x Nike Air Maestro II has not been vindicated with any official release details. Stay tuned to Snkrs Day for more.
