This year, Nike announced the revival of its Air Penny 3 – now the latest colorway lands as the classic Black/Royal. A shoe that initially released in 1997, the Air Penny 3 was the first Air Penny to include Foamposite tech. Instantly attracting the attention of fans all over the world, the shoe was retroed in 2009 to a brilliant reception. It’s about time that one of the classics makes a well-deserved return, and Nike’s doing it right.

Though they weren’t worn much on court, this colorway pays homage to the time that Hardaway spent at the Orlando Magic. With the majority of the upper in Black, the Royal hits throughout the shoe make for a timeless combination. On top of the all-leather upper sits the recognizable Foam shell, this time dipped in a matte finish. The inner collar & outsole pods feature Royal accenting while Zoom Air branding is found on the medial panel. Completing the pair is the iconic Penny 1Cent badge on the outer heel.

Priced at $155, expect to see this pair hit retailers on November 20th. What do you make of the latest old-school inspired release from Nike? Let us know and as always keep your eyes on Snkrs Day for the latest!
