Barbers are truly the unsung heroes of our local communities. More than just their services, they provide the world with a culture all its own. The Nike Dunk Low “Barbershop” is a tribute to barber culture and their commitment to keeping their communities fly. This is the second colorway to be added to the “Barber Shop” pack, as the initial black pair was introduced last month. These Nike Dunk Lows are a much-needed breath of fresh air from all the classic two-tone colorways that we saw throughout 2021. Hopefully, this is a sign that 2022 will offer more conceptual Dunks.
For this Nike Dunk Low, the base is made with cool grey suede. The storytelling is in the details here, as different intricacies point to barbershop themes. The rear overlay has a wave pattern made with hairy suede, and striped trim that runs down the side. The red and blue stripes are a nod to the old-school barber poles that were posted in front of barbershops. The red and blue stitching on the upper heel also pays tribute to this. To pull everything together, the sneaker is complete with a light blue outsole and a monstrous gold lace dubrae that is made in the shape of hair clippers.
The Nike Dunk Low “Barbershop” is set to release via Nike and select retailer June 17th 2022. Be sure to keep up with our Nike Dunk Release Dates page so you don’t miss the drop. The retail price is expected to be $110. For more Nike releases and updates on all your favorite sneakers, download the Snkrs Day app.
