There’s a lot of talk regarding when the “Golden Era” of sneakers was. Typically speaking, it’s usually when the person pegging the time first fell in love with sneakers.

For many millennials and those slightly older, that time was the mid-90s and few years were more impactful than 1997.

Seen for the first time today, the Nike Air Max 97 “Foamposite” pays homage to two titans from 1997 on one silo. Using the shape of the Air Max 97 with the materials and color story of Penny Hardaway’s famed Nike Air Foamposite One, the “Dark Neon Royal” theme has been seen before but rarely as spot-on as this.

Showcasing a blue shell, white toe-box Swoosh, black mesh tongue and icy outsole, details are on point down to the tongue branding.

Release details are unknown at the moment but keep it locked to Snkrs Day for updates.
