MSCHF is back with another BWD shoe as the MSCHF BWD High releases later this month.
Following the BWD low-top that was unveiled in early 2023, the brand is back with a high-top offering.
The latest from the Brooklyn-based art collective, known for its provocative and boundary-pushing projects that blend art, fashion, and internet culture, falls in line with its signature polarizing designs that are still functional and fashionable.
Founded in 2016, the group has gained widespread attention for its unconventional releases, often challenging societal norms and traditional marketing strategies. MSCHF’s creations range from limited-edition sneakers to viral internet stunts, with each drop sparking conversations and often controversy.
One of their most memorable releases was the “Satan Shoes” in collaboration with Lil Nas X in 2021, which featured modified Nike Air Max 97s containing a drop of human blood in the soles. This release drew legal action from Nike and cemented MSCHF’s reputation for bold, statement-making projects. Prior to that, they released the “Jesus Shoes,” which had holy water in the soles, showcasing their flair for blending pop culture with religious symbolism.
The MSCHF BWD High releases for $200 via Store.MSCFH.com on September 24, 2024, at 2 p.m. EST.
