The NBA Conference Semifinals wrapped up over the weekend and there were amazing moments and games to highlight through sneakers. Check out the photos below.
Suns in 4
A man once prophesized “Suns in 4” and the prophecy came true as the Suns swept the Nuggets in convincing fashion. Devin Booker continues to rise to superstardom as he wears the same Nike Zoom Kobe 4 Protro as he did against the series earlier against the Lakers. Deandre Ayton held his own against the MVP in the Puma Clyde All-Pro and Langston Galloway continues to flex his PEs with an Amare Stoudamire PE of the Nike Air Force Operate and Mike Bibby PE of the Jordan XX 3/4.
Hawks Bust the Process
Although Trae Young had an off night against the Sixers in Game 7, the Atlanta Hawks upset the top-seeded Sixers and advanced to the Eastern Conference Finals. Trae wore a couple of colorways of his signature adidas Trae Young 1, and the “Ice Trae” colorway is the one that stood out the most. John Collins has shown out during these playoffs, and to think he requested out of Atlanta during the regular season. Collins has been wearing the adidas Dame 7 EXT/PLY “Dame D.O.L.L.A.” all series against the Sixers and should continue to wear them against the Bucks in the next round.
Comeback Clips
The Clippers went down 0-2 against the Mavericks in the first round and came back to win the series, and it was deja vu when they went down 0-2 again against the Jazz and came back to win the series in 6. Injuries were at the forefront of the series, with Kawhi Leonard going down with an ACL injury after Game 4, but Reggie Jackson and Terrance Mann helped pick up the slack and were vital in games 5 and 6 respectively. Both were wearing the Nike PG 5, with Jackson wearing mismatched pairs and Mann wearing the “Play For the Future” colorway. The Jazz didn’t go down without a fight, though. A hobbled Donovan Mitchell tried to keep the Jazz in the series and Mike Conley suited up for the first time all series while dealing with a hamstring injury. Mitchell wore his signature adidas D.O.N. Issue #3, and Conley broke out a new white and gold colorway of the Air Jordan 36.
Fear the Deer
The Nets/Bucks series will go down in the books as one of the greatest playoffs series of all time, with Game 7 going into OT and the Bucks ending up with the W. Kevin Durant did all he could, putting up 49/17/10 in Game 5 and a turn around jumper at the end of regulation in Game 7 to send it into OT. If only he wore a smaller sneaker. P.J. Tucker was tasked to guard KD and broke out a bevy of sneakers in the series. We couldn’t highlight every sneaker he wore in the series, but Tucker brought out the Air Jordan X “Shadow,” Nike Lebron 15 “SVSM,” Nike Zoom GT Cut, and most notably, the Nike Zoom Kobe 3 in the “Fade to Black” and “Rice HS” colorways. As the stakes get higher in the next round against the Hawks, I’m sure P.J. will bring the heat.
