White on Whites Ruined on First Day of School
The white-on-white Air Force 1 was a first-day-of-school shoe for me at the start of my freshman year of high school. I don’t remember what I wore with them that day, but I do recall getting compliments from many – until lunch happened. Midway through the day, I was in the lunch line inching closer to the front when a girl – not paying attention – ran into me and spilled her red drink all over my socks and shoes. I went from taking pride in the lower half of my outfit that day to counting down the hours till basketball practice so I could get out of my stained shoes and socks for good.
