The man who took Under Armour from making shirts in his grandma’s basement to the “Will You Protect This House?” brand that dominated the gridiron is now stepping down. Today, it was announced that Kevin Plank will no longer serve as the CEO for the brand he founded.

Current chief operating officer Patrik Frisk will replace Plank on the first of next year. Plank will still be involved with the brand, set to serve as executive chairman and brand chief.

Since starting in 1996, Plank has gone from handing out moisture wicking shirts to handing out contracts to Tom Brady and Steph Curry. The Baltimore brand has boomed in the very competitive sportswear landscape, making moves in apparel, footwear and connected fitness.

Keep it locked to Snkrs Day for the future of Under Armour.
