Although it’s hard to believe, it’s been three long decades since a young, high-flying, gold chain wearing Michael Jordan first entered the NBA as a member of the Chicago Bulls in 1985. His inaugural season with the team, which happened to end with Rookie of the Year honors, set in motion all that we know today. A cultural staple as important as any with a 30 year history, celebrates its pearl anniversary with one of its more celebrated components in mind – its fans.
What began with one athlete and a singular pair of sneakers, over three decades has evolved into a global force with multiple athletes across a number of sports and a wide variety of performance footwear. Jordan Brand, now with over 50 world-class athletes, looks to celebrate with their fans during NBA All-Star Weekend 2015 with a host of activations to commemorate their pearl anniversary.
