Jabari Parker is building quite a résumé of Sports Illustrated covers, and in each one he is wearing notable Air Jordans. Duke’s freshman phenom is on the front of the latest edition of SI, alongside of his coach and mentor Mike Krzyzewski. This is Parker’s third headline of the iconic sports magazine, with the first being when he was at Simeon in high school and the second in 2013’s college basketball preview. Jabari’s knowledge of sneakers is well-documented with his College Kicks On Court this year of past Nike LeBron signatures and AJ retros, but the rising star brings out the best whenever he is on Sports Illustrated. Sporting the Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs” and Air Jordan 11 “Concord” in previous issues, Parker appears to be wearing the recent Air Jordan 11 “Gamma Blue” this time around to go with his Duke blue (though the pair has a “Blackout” look due to the cover image’s filter). Not to be outdone, Coach K laced a white/royal pair of classic Air Force 1 Lows. Get a full history of Jabari Parker’s SI coverage below, and keep Snkrs Day bookmarked for everything sneakers.
