UPDATE (02/18):
While attending Sneaker Con, former President Donald Trump announced his “Never Surrender” sneakers, which were limited to 1,000 pairs and sold out shortly after.
The $400 high top was also accompanied by two other Trump sneakers: the T – Red Wave and the POTUS 45.
The shoes are estimated to ship as early as this summer.
UPDATE (02/17):
After Trump announced his attendance to Sneaker Con Philadelphia, President Joe Biden’s communications director Michael Tyler issued a statement, poking fun at the sneakers:
“Donald Trump showing up to hawk bootleg off-whites is the closest he’ll get to any Air Force Ones ever again for the rest of his life,” Biden campaign communications director Michael Tyler said.
Former president Donald Trump announced that he would be attending Sneaker Con in Philadelphia this weekend.
Trump announced via Truth Social, his alt-tech social media platform company, that he would be attending the sneaker convention on February 17, 2024.
Sneaker Con issued a statement on their Instagram stating that their mission is “to support and promote sneaker culture through our worldwide live events and digital platforms.”
The statement goes on to say the following:
“We are thankful and appreciative of the sneaker community, and recognize individuals who generate awareness and authentic sneaker related engagement towards our community.”
Sneaker Con issued an email to Sneaker Con attendees that vendors will have to arrive earlier due to increased security as a result of a “special guest.” However, Sneaker Con has yet to announce or confirm that Donald Trump will be in attendance.
