Parra’s no stranger to the world of collaborative footwear. From Vans to Nike to of course, Converse, the Amsterdam-based artist has created some solid kicks for all sorts of brands. This Product(RED) release recently hit the shelves of just over 10 stores in the entire United States. Snkrs Day, as one of only 6 First String accounts in the country, was one of the few.
Highly detailed, the tan suede upper features a repeating pattern of Parra’s signature Cherry design. If you’re familiar with his art or his Rockwell clothing company, this design is a staple in his work. A red chambray liner puts a unique spin on the classic Chuck and other details include metal eyelets, tan-on-tan medial branding and a special under-tongue label. As you know, sales of Product(RED) goods benefit Africa’s fight against HIV and AIDS.
At only $75, these charity-benefiting, neck-breaking, very limited kicks should be a no-brainer. As always, phone orders are welcome.
