Manila packed some serious heat at the recent #SoleSlam8 Sneaker & Streetwear Trade Expo held at the World Trade Convention Center in Pasay City Philippines. Snkrs Day didn’t want to miss the opportunity to witness it first hand.

Snkrs Day travelled halfway around the globe to visit the Philippines along with the legendary rapper from the South, Bun B. Despite the heavy rain and wind, it didn’t stop thousands of brave Filipinos from going to Asia’s premiere sneaker and streetwear event. We witnessed some of the rarest kicks you could find, the insane custom sneakers, a collection of the best streetwear vendors and had a glimpse of the Philippine street culture under one roof.

Sole Slam was initially about sneakers, but given the evolution of the culture, it became about sneakers and streetwear – an event giving recognition to the growing culture. And what recognition it gave having it’s seventh sneaker battle and their first ever Sole Slam Street Culture Awards, recognizing the expansion of the Sole Slam theme spreading to sports and music. The highlight of the event was the performance of Southern Hip-hop legend Bun B of UGK.

We are happy to say, Manila did not disappoint. Keep that thunder, Sole Slam Manila.
