In what was perhaps the best College Kicks On Court week of the season to date, the top spot was clear. There were only three original colorways of the iconic Air Jordan 11, and the “Columbia” 11s are the only member of the trio to be given just one retro run. First released in 1996 and unseen since 2001, the Air Jordan 11 “Columbia” is one of the most sought-after and rarely seen Michael Jordan sneakers today. Countless rumors have been thrown around that we might get the model as an upcoming Jordan Brand holiday release, but until then we’ll just have to wish we were Jahenns Manigat. The Creighton guard pulled his “Columbia” 11s, characterizing yellowing from aging and all, from his personal vault and rocked them to sleep in a win over Chicago State. Although Manigat’s lacing was one of the best sneaker sightings possibly in college basketball history, a wide array of other sneakers combined to make it the week of the season so far. One of one Customs, classic Nike Basketball models, colorful adidas makeups, and endless Air Jordans were all in full effect across the entire country.
