CP3 will mark a new era for The Three Stripes.
Candace Parker will continue to impact the women’s game as she was named adidas Women’s Basketball President.
Parker joined adidas Basketball in 2008 when she was drafted first overall by the Los Angeles Sparks. Her signature shoe line with adidas began with the adidas Ace Commander (2010) — the Three-Stripes’ first-ever women’s signature basketball shoe. The Ace Commander was followed by the Ace Versatility in 2011.
I definitely want to leave the next generation better.
I think that’s what the people that came before me did for me.
It’s important that maybe I am one of the first, but I’m going to be one of the many – soon.
That’s my goal for this next run. My daughter’s age group and generation will have so many powerful female leaders to look up to that they’ll never doubt whether they can do something.

However, her signature shoe line would become defunct after the Versatility. The “Ace” legacy took on a new life through an ongoing line between Parker and adidas. In 2021, Parker dropped an adidas Exhibit A “Ace” Collection, which then inspired the 2022 adidas Exhibit B “Ace” Collection.
Parker’s impact in the WNBA and beyond will double down on her trailblazing work under the new role.
Stepping into this new leadership role is a deeply personal next step in my journey with adidas.
From high school to college to playing pro to now, this appointment by adidas symbolizes a shared commitment to making impactful change and setting new benchmarks for the future of women’s sports.
It’s not just about products; it’s about fostering a movement focused on innovation, representation, and access.
Parker’s pivotal role will be in charge expanding the brand’s women’s roster, featuring standout players such as Aliyah Boston, Hailey Van Lith, Kahleah Copper, Aaliyah Edwards, Chelsea Gray, Betnijah Laney, Alysha Clark, Nneka Ogwumike, Chiney Ogwumike, and Erica Wheeler. In addition to her responsibilities, she will oversee adidas Women’s Basketball product lines.
This appointment underscores the brand’s dedication to elevating women in basketball and acknowledges Candace’s enduring influence as a catalyst for change and advocate for the sport. A trailblazer both on and off the court, Parker once again breaks barriers as she ushers in a new era of inclusive and transformative leadership in the sports industry.
