In 1995, Jordan Brand released the “Playoffs” aka “Bred” Air Jordan 11 as Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls would go on and complete their second three-peat after a 72-10 season, cementing their legacy as one of the greatest basketball teams ever.
Since 1995, the Air Jordan 11 has been celebrated and revered as one of the greatest silhouettes in the Air Jordan line — the on-court achievements, unorthodox design with patent leather and the OG colorways from “Columbia” to “Concord” (and “Bred” of course) were all part of the recipe that put the Air Jordan 11 on a different pedestal.
This holiday season, Jordan Brand will continue the yearly tradition of a Jordan 11 with a new interpretation of the “Bred” iteration (which was last seen in 2019). The rumored Air Jordan 11 WMNS “Bred Velvet” will take the “Bred” colorway and pair it with a velvet upper instead of its traditional ballistic mesh and patent leather build.
The upcoming Air Jordan 11 WMNS “Bred Velvet” releases for $230 on November 11, 2024, exclusively in women’s sizing via Nike.com and select retailers.
