Sneakerheads came out in droves for Friday night’s event, traveling from as far as Miami, Florida, to be at Snkrs Day for the re-release of the 2005 Retro Air Jordan 10 “Steel Grey” and other Vault goodies.

The lineup started at 11 AM–That’s 11 hours before the party started! The first group in line toughed out near 100 degree heat all day, but the reward was worth it to most. Beyond the headlining AJ10s that went for only $185, sneaker highlights included a full size run of “Olympic” Air Jordan 7s and two colorways of the XIX SEs, as well as handfuls of “Wheat” and “Altitude” 13s, “Fire Red” 3s, “Snakeskin,” “Columbia” and “DMP” 11s and both the black and silver and white and Carolina Blue Low 6s. Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Red Bull sponsored the event, keeping those in the crowd 21 and up partying to the sounds of DJ Dontizl all night.

At 11 PM, the winner of the OG pair of “Steel Greys” was picked at random, and Alex Pellon of Miami was selected as the winner of the contest. Alex is a reader and wasn’t on hand at the event, but luckily heard his phone, answered and will soon have his hand on an extremely rare collector’s item.

Stay tuned to the store blog and Twitter, as more Vault events are already in the works. Special thanks goes to the aforementioned sponsors, as well as the large crowd that made it out the event.
