Flacko Jodye season is officially upon us. Over the weekend, A$AP Rocky put on a live performance art event in promotion of his album TESTING which is set to release this Friday and said to have features and input from the likes of Kid Cudi, Skepta, Tyler the Creator and Kanye West.
Perhaps most interesting to Snkrs Day readers is he showed what we assume to be a final version of his Under Armour collaborative sneaker.
Referencing the Osiris D3, the shoe has been seen before in sample fashion on-foot by Flacko with color blocking and tooling differing among wears. The pair seen over the weekend features a triple-black base pulled out of a biohazard bag. While the unveiling is likely theatrics, it could make for cool packaging when considering the TESTING theme.
How Rocky and Under Armour will rollout and release the sneaker remains a mystery. It would be safe to assume that with an album this Friday a tour will follow. Historically, artists have worn their shoe on stage in support with a release following after. Theoretically, summer album, fall tour, holiday sneaker release would be pretty on point. But hey, who knows.
